Abstract
Occupational health and safety is a work to ensure and build a healthy and comfortable workplace, as is the case with companies that produce steel metal. Work accidents such as being exposed to sparkles, pinched hands, or squashed by lumps in the cycle of making steel boards can also occur regularly, and it is necessary to identify potential hazards that often occur to distinguish evidence of potential risks that occur so that employees can work safely and comfortably, so that the efficiency conveyed by workers can be achieved in a broader way. Therefore, it is important to find out whether there is a strong influence between the occupational health and safety system and the performance carried out by employees, as well as carry out the process of identifying hazards using job safety analysis. The research used is quantitative in nature with the strategy used namely specific Chi-Square and Job safety investigation or job safety analysis considering the consequences of direct perception and meetings with sources at work, so that the results show that there is a strong influence between occupational health and safety which is the most important indicator in improving an employee's performance in a company so that results and production targets on the company can be achieved more optimally and effectively in the future, as well as making the work environment for the steel panel manufacturing process safer and healthier by using the method of overcoming potential work accidents, namely job safety analysis in the steel panel manufacturing division.
